Gates of Hell - Idea for a new PvP mode.
Balthazar bless us. By the on going wars with the mortal races on earth, in the realm of the old gods, a fight has struck through...
In the mist of the divine chaos, a portal was accidently opened from the human realm, into the realm of hell. An evil realm.
No soul can enter this cursed realm with an ally, no ressurections can happen from this haunted place.
It's one man for himself.
Rules - A very large area inside the depths of hell. 64 players start the game at totally different areas of the map.
All 64 players fight it out against everyone.
When a player dies, the player who is killed will be the servent of the winner of the kill. If a person who have killed 5 people he will have 5 servents who will serve and help him(though with a reduction 50% of energy and health) - should that player who has servents under him get killed aswell, then that player and all his servents will follow and serve the new conquer.
This fight continues like this until there is just 2 groups 0f people left, who will fight it out. the group that wins will get demonic power and treasure from a powerful underlord in hell... items that has belonged to some of the most notorious and evil creatures, wizards and men ever to grace the face of tyria, among them are ancient Krytan relics and Shiros magic armband.
Now you may ask: Why do this? It will be interesting, because if you picture yourself a large landmass in hell were people can hide beyond lava caverns, behind exotic rocks and so on, some people could just choose to hide until there was one player left, or only come out when two other players are fighting and take them on with half health/energy. This will create a new mantra - at the same time there will be a 15 minutes timer. if people should stand back and just ninja attack other people who are fighting, the ones who attack first and kills the most people will get benefits(2% increased damage per kill).
Also there will also be a rush for quicky getting a hugh army with servents under you, because the other guy will also make his. and in the end there will only be two groups. if one is aggresive and gets tons of servents, like 40! then there will only be 24 servents for the other team, meaning that they will be underpowered.
Genuine rules behind this:
-no ressurections at all. no rez! no never ever! This is because to make it more interesting and to enforce the theory that all enters start out as lone wolfs - as lone people in hell. even as servents no rez must work. This will not only create a totally different playstyle and keep the game fresh but also give room to new strategic elements.
-When there are only two teams left, the leaders of each team will get satanic powers and strength(increasing their health and energy by 50%) - This is to give the illusion and reward to the people who are the leaders with all these servents under them. Also remember that servents are 50% less effective as normal, it then means that the leaders of these two groups will have an easier time slaughtering the other servents but will have an match for the other teams leader.
I know this idea might have holes. I know that maybe the numers would not be balanced. maybe it shouldnt be 64 players but 40, or 30! Maybe there should not be 50% reduction rate upon becoming a servent or something, but this is the overall idea for a game mode I think would pit perfectly in guild wars and make it very fun.
the idea behind the story was just a concept. you could place the senario anywere in tyria, in heaven, under water, in space.. whatever.
I just think it would be great with much alternative means of fighting, and a mode were everyone starts alone and then becomes part of a large group, would be cool.
recommends, discussions, flaming.. everything is appreciated. I would just like to hear what you think. Im not saying the idea is perfect or fine tuned, but would you guys like to play something like this?

I really love this idea!
There are a few things that need to be clarified tho. Would serverts become allies and appear in eachother's party windows? If not, then there would be almost no monks in this pvp type (which may or may not be a bad thing!) 64 people would probubly be too much, think of all the lag especially for people with slower connections O.O 30 people sounds like a good idea, there are already 24 player maps with no noticable lag so 30 shouldnt be much worse.

Me like this idea! Put I don't really understand this servant stuff...I mean the servants cant be forced to help the leader. Myabe the servants rage quit, or go AFK.
Give the servants some kind of reward for being loyal to its leader. For example if a servant kills another (hostile) servant it gets some money, if it kills over 20 it gets a rndom gold item and so on.
Just one other question. What happens if a servant dies? It get rezzed? Does it get more DP?

A servent should share the spoils at the end. They could get a random gold.
